Dr. Ted grew up with his brother, John, in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2003. After working for several years as an associate dentist at Oneonta Dental Center, he founded Luma Dentistry with his brother, John. They wanted to start a dental practice that would provide all aspects of a patient’s dental needs in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Their vision was to create a dental practice that would benefit the community as well as the patients. For Dr. Ted, it is such a pleasure to be able to work with family every day, while doing what he loves. Being able to provide a wide variety of dental care under one roof is very rewarding to Luma Dentistry’s patients. For Dr. Ted, being able to restore and educate so many patients about their dental health with such a great team is most gratifying. Being able to give a patient back their smile is what Luma Dentistry is all about. He also enjoys participating in their yearly free dental treatment day. Dr. Ted is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is continually studying new methods and techniques in dentistry, focusing on the areas of cosmetic dentistry, including veneers and crowns, and endodontics (root canal therapy). Dr. Ted lives in the McCalla area with his wife, Karol, who is also a graduate of the UAB School of Dentistry, with her own dental practice in Pelham, Alabama. They have two daughters, Gaby and Isla, and enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending time with family.
