About Dr. Temisan Meggison
Dr. Temisan Meggison attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Dentistry, graduating magna cum laude at the top of her class. She is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the dental field, regularly completing continuing education courses and attending conferences to keep abreast of the latest developments and treatment techniques in dentistry. Dr. Meggison has received advanced training in dental veneers, Invisalign clear aligners, dental implants, BOTOX and dermal fillers, and stays up-to-date with all innovative dentistry. She is proud to provide a complete range of dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery procedures and emergency care.
As a dentist, Dr. Meggison’s goal is to provide quality dentistry and make patients smile while doing it. Here at MegaSmiles of Bethesda, she strives to provide great dental service with great customer service – she and her team care about patients’ experiences and want patients to leave with bigger smiles than they walked in with. Her passion for dentistry sparked from her fear of the dentist as a child. This fear led her to ask more questions and eventually develop a genuine interest in dental care. Now, she strives to positively impact the quality of life to others while helping them be comfortable during her visits.
Dr. Meggison is a member of the American Dental Association and has received the Harry B. Schwartz Award for Fixed Prosthodontics and the Northeastern Society of Periodontics Award. She has practiced in the Bethesda, Baltimore and Washington D.C. area for four years.
Healthcare and caring for others have always been a value of Dr. Meggison’s. She was born and raised in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and comes from a family of health professionals where she is the second oldest of six children. Outside of the office, she loves playing pickle ball, reading, watching movies and learning new games.

It was an absolute pleasure to get my cleaning done by Dr. Temisan Meggison. She was very kind, gentle, and a great communicator. I think that Dr. Meggison is a most excellent dentist, and the office is clean and efficient with a very competent and friendly staff. I came in for my first appointment with a dental issue that required immediate care - a front crown had come out of my mouth. Dr. Meggison accommodated my situation by immediately giving me viable options to fix the tooth as quickly as possible. I chose to go with an implant and she extracted the tooth, and did a bone graft right there on the spot, without my having to come back for a future appointment. I think that demonstrates what a talented and caring dentist she is. I've never seen a dentist start an unexpected procedure like that at the initial appointment, and I've had tooth problems in the past. Dr. Meggison appears to be a full-service provider, able to do dental work, crowns and implants, and the office is a pleasant place to spend a few hours, as I just did.

I had some problems finding parking, so even though I started out early I got there late. The parking garage was blocked but there is a lot across the street so I parked there even though it was poorly marked. I got to the office in a sort of irritated mood (maybe a little more than sort of). The staff was great and the hygienist did all she could to make me more comfortable. Great cleaning. Then the doctor came in and she was awesome. Going over my teeth and making great suggestions. I have had a varied dental history - some good, some bad. Pretty sure this is going to be a good, long term dentist. Oh and they told me their parking secrets for the future :)

My first trip to the dentist in over 25 years, and I no longer have a reason to avoid the dentist. Great bedside manner, everyone was incredibly kind, non-judgmental and patient with me. The office was very comfortable with windows in treatment rooms. I have a treatment plan and a path forward I am very happy with. Looking to switch my husband over to her, as well.

I don’t go to the dentist often so my teeth are not in great shape, but this visit was surprisingly pleasant, and that’s coming from a guy who just learned he needs a root canal. The staff was very nice. I was seen quickly. They actually looked at my online forms and didn’t make me refill them out in paper (I think that’s a first for me). And the dentist herself was incredibly friendly and nice and conscientious when cleaning my sensitive teeth.

Dr. Meggison was nice/seemed to know what she was doing when I came in with a painful gum infection. It started behind my wisdom tooth. She suggested I get 3 of my wisdom teeth out on my first visit. I initially trusted this. In hindsight wish I had gotten a 2nd opinion. She was able to get the top two teeth out, but not the bottom one and left it loose in my gums causing more pain than I was already in. She referred me to an oral surge thinking I’d get in sameday. She was unaware I would need a consult with them first and they wouldn’t be able to see me for 4 days. I realized when she had numbed me with the novocaine to take out my teeth, she damaged multiple salivary glands with where she stuck the needles that are now causing swelling under my jaw and in my lip. I have to pay more now to get my glands fixed/removed and have my lip drained by the oral surgeon. If you have issues other than a cleaning I would go elsewhere/at least get a 2nd opinion before she removes any teeth.

Dr Meggison has one of the best bedside manners of any dentist I’ve had. She took the time to explain my tooth issue when I asked, which made me feel like I was a participant in my own dental health and not just another patient getting worked on and out the door. It’s clear she really enjoys being a dentist! She’s so friendly, it’s like chatting with a friend. Her entire staff are all kind and friendly too, and so considerate and polite. They called me a few times to make sure they had my right details and let me know immediately when a spot opened up and I could start earlier. Would love to make this place my dentist for as long as possible!

Amazing experience at MegaSmiles!
Everyone on staff was kind and communicative, my dental cleaning was quick and done with great care, and Dr. Meggison listened to my concerns, addressed them, and came up with a great action plan. The big windows looking out on the treetops was an added bonus, a calming sight while having my cleaning done.
I cannot recommend MegaSmiles highly enough .
