About Dr. Terence Lau
Dr. Terence Lau graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1987 and went on to obtain advanced training in Periodontal Prosthodontics from the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he was personally mentored by Drs Ralph Youdelis, John Kois and Frank Spear. It was during this tenure at the U of W that he obtained his first surgical experiences in Dental Implant Surgery under the direct supervision of both P.I. Branemark and Gerald Nisnick (in the same week!).
In his advanced continuing education, Dr. Lau has obtained multiple advanced training in all phases of surgical and restorative implant dentistry, occlusion, implant assisted orthodontics, regenerative periodontics and laser dentistry. For the last 20 years, Dr. Lau has emphasized his clinical and educational focus on minimally invasive Bio-Aesthetic Implant Surgery, soft and hard tissue reconstruction and regeneration, orthodontic implantology and Laser dentistry.

Wish I found this dental practice from day one after moving to Northridge. After the visit they reminded me of my experiences while serving in the US AIR FORCE. They look at you as a person not source of their income which is prevalent in private dental practice anywhere in America. An honest dental practice is hard to find and they are honestly the best in my experience after 24 years of military service. My wife and I have found our perfect dental practice to go to for life. Dr. Lau and his team were great! They were all very kind and gentle. The assistant taking the X-rays was sweet natured and my hygienist was awesome. She gave me a quick lesson on what she was about to do before doing it and checked on me periodically to make sure I was still comfortable.
When Dr. Lau came in and he was very professional and had a fantastic bedside matter. He was more thorough with the examination process than any other dentist I've seen. Dr. Lau was also the first dentist of mine in a very long time to listen to me, validate me, and actually include me in the conversation regarding my dental health.

Dr. T. Lau has been my dentist of choice for over ten years. Early on I realized that I no longer dreaded to have dental work done. Dr. Lau never acts hurried and is gentle, especially when numbing my mouth.
I am comfortable getting procedures done which would have been stressful for me before. I am happy to recommend him and his work.

I've known this crew for 14 years and I've never known them to be anything but professional, efficient, knowledgeable and most important, extremely caring. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Dr. Lau and his entire staff are very professional and extremely caring. It was my first time here and it was by far the best experience I have ever had. My situation ended up being more complicated and took longer than initially anticipated. I never felt rushed. They were just focused on making sure they did the best they could and that I was comfortable. Overall it's simply a higher level of care.

Honestly the root canal took almost 4 hours to finish. I got there a half an hour before my appointment and they took me in within the first few minutes. But then he didn't finish my root canal until 12:40. Way longer than I expected.

Dr. Lau is a brilliant dentist-he is sweet and kind and is totally educated on all the latest dental procedures. His work is done efficiently and I have had 4 implants done by him. As always, Dr. Lau has a wonderful demeanor, and really cares about my dental health. By explaining what is going on in my mouth, he paints a picture of the problem, and makes treatment/prevention so much easier. It's wonderful that a dentist can really focus on the problems, and not just on repeat business. The candy bowl in the waiting room doesn't serve candy, because that would be unethical, even though it would be good for business. This is the embodiment of attention to detail!
