About Dr. Theodore Rask
Dr. Theodore Rask enjoys providing dental care for the entire family. Being a father himself, he is great with children and takes pride in making his patients feel comfortable and at ease. His holistic approach to dentistry emphasizes prevention and wellness. Providing clear communication and the best possible care is a top priority for him.
Dr. Rask was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He has volunteered his dental skills for Oregon's Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile and hopes to someday travel to serve underprivileged areas. He is married with three young children, Tyler (11), Brandon (9), and Natalie (6). When he is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and friends, playing bass guitar and piano with his twin brother in a band, and spending time at the beach.

This dentist completely destroyed my teeth. I am in nothing but constant pain now in my mouth. He had to fill my cavities twice because he admitted to not doing them correctly the first time. Was more focused on cracking jokes then fixing my teeth and now I can’t eat anything without excruciating pain in multiple areas of my mouth. When I went back to tell him this he said I will now need root canals done because he got too close to the nerves of my teeth. At this point I feel like he just wants to make money. And the dental hygienist was rude and didn’t listen to anything I had to say. Gave me the worst most painful teeth cleaning of my life after I explained how much pain I was in. Thank you for ruining my teeth Dr. Rask.

They are extremely friendly and personable, remembering things that I shared about my personal life from the last time I visited. They clearly communicated what they were working on and had consideration to offer lip balm when they noticed that my lips were cracked so that I would be comfortable while they did the Cleaning.

Dr. Rask is very good and thorough explained it well my overall oral health and not pushy. The hygienist is very good and thorough, and made you felt comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the clinic is very clean.

This was the best dental appointment I’ve ever had! I went in for a first time appointment( take x-rays and go over treatment plan) and I received the best care from the dental assistant, hygienist, dentist and receptionist! I have severe dental anxiety and even cried in the chair because of it, and the way everyone made me feel was so comforting and assured me that I’m in the right place for my care! Dr. Rask is the best dentist I’ve ever seen, and I look forward to going back! Thank you so much guys.

Great Experience! To be honest, I am not a fan of the dentist and it often takes me a while to book an appointment because I'd rather avoid it. I even went for an initial visit to another local dentist but it did not feel professional so I never went back. Instead, I found this office through Zocdoc and it was a very comfortable and professional experience. I actually look forward to going back and completing my treatment.

Dr. Rask listened closely to my health needs and wants, and presented all the options and pros/cons clearly rather than pressuring me into unnecessary dental work. The prices for procedures were very reasonable compared to my previous provider and my understanding of market rates. Staff were incredibly friendly and kept me updated about how long I'd be waiting for various things throughout the visit.

Genuine concern for me as whole person. I was treated that way from start to finish- I have in the past by other other offices been treated as the set of problems in my mouth; a burden met w/cool reception and an inability to get scheduled appointments or an opportunity to make money where work was left undone requiring more work later. He asked me what mattered to me; and then as a professional came up with the plan to help me get there.
