About Dr. Therese Murphy-Swanson
Dr. Swanson has been practicing dentistry for the past 33 years. She began her career as a Certified Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Loyola University Chicago in 1987. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is certified as an Invisalign Provider. Dr. Swanson also serves as an active member of DMORT, a Federal Level Response Team that provides mortuary assistance during mass fatality incidents. She has been deployed to the 9/11 World Trade Center, Hurricane Charley, and many other disasters, including assisting the city of New York during the COVID-19 crisis. Outside the dental field, she enjoys walking and spending time with her three children and two dogs. She has always enjoyed working with people of all ages, and dentistry has allowed her to do so in a positive way.
Dr. Swanson is a participating provider with most PPO insurances and offers Saturday hours.

Friendly office staff. Dr Swanson was very thorough in looking at my teeth and explained what she would do. It took a lot of xrays by the tech before getting suitable images. I felt she wasn't overly aggressive with what care and maintenance I needed. I feel good that I finally found a dentist that I like!

Dr. Swanson was direct and thorough. Had to wait to get a routine care visit started due to some emergency visits, but it's good to know that they make the effort to squeeze you in when there is an emergency.
