The Dr decided not to give me a cleaning since wanted me to schedule 2 other appointments right away. At this point, I think this is the healthcare system in the US. I’m unsure if I’d treat myself in the US.

I asked before coming what insurance would be honored and was assured that what I had was adequate. I had given the reason for the appointment. However, when I was there, I was told that my problem required "pre-approval" to be covered, and I was given no reason to think that I would have coverage for the problem. So I may very likely get no service at all in the end. I had my own problems with my transportation and waiting for four hours in the clinic for a ride home was hardly justified, but the clinic was not at fault for that happening. It did, however, affect my mood that was already questionable after learning that my insurance might be worthless in that clinic.

First, the office was easy to find. Second, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Third, Dr. Matias had a wonderful bedside manner, he explained everything thoroughly, and I received great care. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Matias's work as a dentist was completely satisfactory. However, I was told before having a root canal done that my insurance would cover the procedure, with perhaps a small copay. After having the procedure done, I was given a bill for nearly a thousand. They were unwilling to negotiate on the amount owed, in spite of the huge gap. As a result, I will not return and do not recommend this practice.

The office was fantastic - they made it a point to open for me on a Saturday when that was the only day I could have an appointment. They were so welcoming and accommodating I will now be going back again for my next visit.
