For well over four decades, Dr. Siewert has truly loved taking his patients on a journey from afraid to comfortable, from embarrassed to proud, from failed to restored, and from sick to healthy when it comes to their oral and dental condition. As a South Elgin dentist, he has built countless relationships on trust, respect, and friendship over the years that he wouldn’t trade for anything in the world! When Dr. Siewert was in high school, he had a friend who desperately urged him to become a dentist. This friend wanted to become a dentist himself at the time and thought it would be fun to practice together someday. Well, that friend eventually found another path, but thankfully, Dr. Siewert ended up staying on the dental path. He received a lot of encouragement and affirmation during his education and training, and as he continued toward a career in oral healthcare, it became very clear that it was the ideal job for him. After studying at Illinois State University, Dr. Siewert pursued his dental doctorate at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry at Chicago. He completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at University of Chicago Hospital Clinic as well before entering private practice in 1980. Over the years, the American Dental Association and Illinois Dental Society have been great resources that have helped him along his career path. He has also participated with the Seattle Study Club to further improve his skills. Dr. Siewert has been married to Lynn, the love of his life, since 1984, and they have two amazing grown sons named Matt and Brandon. As a family, they enjoy going to Cubs games as often as possible, as well as spending time with his siblings and cousins. As for personal hobbies outside of work, you can typically find Dr. Siewert serving in church ministries, playing bass guitar (for fun), playing golf (not for fun), serving on the school and church boards, building things, and tackling various outdoor landscaping projects.
