About Dr. Thuyduong Truong

Dr Truong received Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard school of dental medicine, she spent three more years as a post doctor fellow in orthodontics. She received her certificate in orthodontics from Harvard University. At the same time, she was also a research fellow at the biotherapeutics laboratory of the Harvard Institute of human genetics, researching a cure and vaccine for breast cancer. She received a Master of Medical Science from Harvard University. Dr. Truong has received several awards and honors and was listed in Who’s Who Asian American in Massachusetts in 2001. Dr Truong has been practicing dentistry for over 29 years. She hopes to help you and your family improve your oral health and comfort and achieve balance and harmony between the teeth and the face. Her goal is not just to straighten your teeth, but to perfect your beautiful and attractive smile. Besides dentistry, Dr Truong enjoys cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, painting, playing her "dan tranh”, a Vietnamese musical instrument, and coaching middle school students for the science Olympiad competitions. She lives happily in San Diego with her husband, a professor at UCSD and their three sons.
