Dr. Tyler Henthorn was born and raised in The Woodlands, Texas. Inspired by his great-grandmother, who dedicated more than 40 years to dentistry as a dental assistant, Dr. Henthorn discovered his own passion for the field while assisting in both orthodontic and general dentistry practices. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Texas at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. During dental school, Dr. Henthorn distinguished himself through academic excellence and a strong focus on innovation. He participated in one of the nation’s leading dental research programs, expanding his expertise in CAD/CAM technology and digital dentistry. He was also recognized for outstanding achievement in endodontics and digital restorations. Committed to providing the highest standard of care, Dr. Henthorn actively pursues continuing education in advanced general dentistry techniques. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the New York Dental Association. Through his training and experience, Dr. Henthorn strives to create a welcoming, patient-centered environment at Bar and Smith Dental—building lasting relationships while delivering exceptional care. Outside the office, Dr. Tyler enjoys training for IRONMAN triathlons and marathons, reading high fantasy novels, and volunteering at local races in New York, IRONMAN Texas events, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
