About Dr. Vandan Desai
Dr. Desai is an alumnus of the University of Maryland. He pursued and completed a two-year residency program from Pennsylvania, specializing in implant prosthodontics and wisdom teeth extraction. He was born in India and eventually shifted to Maryland.
Dr. Desai brings his commitment to excellence, never-quit attitude, and years of training and experience to provide his patients with quality dental care in a relaxed environment. He firmly believes that his profession gives him the chance to bring smiles to his patients’ faces, which acts as an impetus for him to do better and keep all his patients happy and satisfied.
In his spare time, Dr. Desai enjoys traveling the world and spending quality time with his wife and son. They enjoy exploring new cities and different cuisines together. Dr. Desai also likes to stay up to date with advances in technology.

Paid for them to tell me I need a deep cleaning and wisdom removal. I didn't even get a basic cleaning from them during my visit, which is unheard of.

Vivian is excellent. Dr. Desai has very good hands. My dental procedure was very smooth – I didn’t feel a thing! I was very nervous – he made sure I was comfortable at all times.

First let me say thank you to Dr. Desai and Q for having PATIENCE. My 16 yr old had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and let me tell you, her meds kicked her anxiety into HIGH GEAR. They were so kind and patient. I really appreciate the professionalism. Thank you La Cantera Dental!

Dr. Desai and Q at La Cantera Dental were amazing. They made me feel cared for and took the time to explain things to me and made me feel comfortable. Wisdom tooth extraction was a breeze with them. Highly reccomend.

Doctor was nice, but over booked and rushed. Only had one hygienist. I was there for my semi-annual cleaning and it took 1.5 hours. I will not waste my time again. While I was waiting in the reclining chair, I turned around to see the computer. They had something pulled up showing their schedule and their daily quota to make money... the nerve.
