About Dr. Vera Chernomordik
Dr. Vera is a gentle and confident dentist with sharp diagnostic skills, a welcoming ear, and only the best interests of her patients at heart. She believes that dentistry is a practice of medicine, not just a single-tooth kind of business.
She excels in cosmetic dentistry, striving to make even the simplest filling a piece of art. Our jaws are intrinsically related to our skeleton, and they can affect each other with positioning, posture, and function. Medications we take don't only affect the intended target-they have a cascading effect on our whole system. Systemic diseases have distinctive features in the mouth. And what we do daily affects the diagnosis, course, and treatment of any pathology.

She graduated from Boston University with highest honors, summa cum laude, in 2012 at the top of her class and in the top 99.3% in the country. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University and was invited into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honors Society, in 2012. She completed a residency in General Practice at Queens Hospital Center and rigorous training in Craniomandibular Medicine in 2019.

She was incredibly respectful. I have severe asthma and am at high risk for respiratory diseases, and this dentist was more respectful of my concerns than any other dentist I have ever seen. She was also very understanding about the fact that I have jaw problems and can't open my mouth normally, and found ways to work around this obstacle. I would recommend her to all my friends and family, as well as fellow asthma patients.

This was my first appointment with Dr Chernomordik, and I’m happy I took the recommendations of previous patients. It’s rare to find a doctor or dentist who is so thorough and knowledgeable, but also very kind and pleasant. I appreciate how she explained everything. Dr. C & staff all wear N95 masks & run HEPA filters, making me feel safe in a time of the “razor blade” COVID & measles outbreaks. I could have gone to a DDS who took my insurance but instead I paid out of pocket for an experience that made me feel very cared for.

She is very professional, thorough, super gentle and she explained everything in a way I could understand what she means and her energies were calming and reassuring.

I've been a patient of Dr. Vera for several years now. Dr. Vera is an incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly dentist. She always takes the time to explain issues concerning my dental health, which unfortunately has been complicated at times.
She is especially adept at making the complex understandable and clearly identifying a suspicion she has versus a clear problem that needs addressing.
One particular issue I had was concerning an abutment for a replacement crown on a dental implant. Following several fit issues due to errors by the abutment supplier and several trips back to the dental office, Dr. Vera took a loss on materials and labor to get my teeth back to feeling great. She also fixed an adjacent filling to properly line up with the new crown, all the while holding to the original price quoted for just the abutment with crown. I'm immensely grateful to have Dr. Vera as my dentist and am pleased to hear she runs the practice.

Simply perfect. An easy-to-reach location via the yellow/red lines, a clean modern office, with the most comfortable leather chairs I have ever set in a waiting area! Front desk was so warm and approachable; asked me if I wanted bottled water? +10 to taking care of your patients. Their patient rooms have chairs with what I can only describe as an anxiety-reducing back-massage unit? Hi, yes, I'll be your customer for life. Oh yeah and then there's Dr. Vera herself; this review box does not have the character limit I'd need to describe how amazing she is; I've been her patient since before she was even at this location... suffice to say: kind, funny, direct, does not waste your time, masterful hands, and, well her work speaks for itself. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Vera is without a question the best best doctor I have ever seen. She's so kind and immediately sets you at ease. None of the procedures I've had have hurt and if anything has been uncomfortable she's been so receptive and changed tactics to make sure I felt ok. She always explains everything so clearly and makes sure I understand what procedures are cosmetic and what are medical advised. Cannot recommend her highly enough.

My experience was the best ever, not only Dr Vera evaluated me and explained in detail my situation but gave me clear options and recommended steps on procedures. Answered every question and addressed immediate issues. The staff was very helpful from the moment I got there and my overall experience was no less than 5 stars... An excellent dental office that I will recommend to anyone looking for quality work and service.

As someone who's generally not a fan of medical facilities, the experience at Dr. Vera's office was immaculate:
1. Clean office with lots of plants.
2. Friendly relaxed front desk staff.
3. Warm and friendly dental assistants.
4. Dr. Vera herself had a kind demeanor and a wonderful bedside manner. She spoke clearly, and to the point, and did not waste my time. But most of all, as my nerves were already a bit on edge, her overall 'enegy' was very approachable and made me feel more relaxed.

Several of my colleagues have been recommending Dr Vera to anyone at my company who asks for dentist recommendations. I finally took their advice, and I was blown away by the amazing experience. I've been notorious for hating going to the dentist my whole life. I left that appointment saying, "well I officially no longer hate the dentist". She spent a lot of dedicated time with me, answered all of my questions, addressed all of my issues, made lots of recommendations on next steps, and ensured I was as comfortable as possible during my cleaning. The dentist chair even has a back massager built in! Highly recommend.
