Anxiety and depression affect all of us, and teachings from Eastern and Western philosophers offer unique insight into coping with these challenges in our lives. I am fascinated by the utility of meditation in everyday life and study extensively the ethical teachings of Plato, Aristotle, and Kant. I’m cultivating a boutique experience through my unique approach to care at Flossophy Dental Boutique.
I understand the distinct challenges individuals face when it comes to dental care. Every action is made by a choice, and every choice starts with a goal. Some have a fear of dentists, while others simply want to improve their appearance but don’t know the most efficient way to reach their goal. I genuinely value listening to the needs of my patients and helping them accomplish personal development goals.
Education is very important to me, so I am constantly exploring new surgical techniques and learning new ways of doing things as digital dentistry advances. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. I hold a fellowship in the International Dental Implant Association and am a member of the American Dental Association. I also teach dental students at my office and serve as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the HUDA clinic through the University of Detroit Mercy.

I will be honest I was pretty nervous walking in the office not knowing what to expect but everyone makes you feel very welcomed. Dr. Burla spent more time with me in this first visit then any other dentist I have seen in my past. He is very kind to where I am considering having both my young kids go here. He's gentle & answered all my questions without being annoyed like alot of Dr. I have seen. He was recommended to me from a local mom & I am happy to share my experience with others. So if you anything like me with dentists (anxiety, nervous etc etc) or had a bad experience elsewhere definetly see Dr. Burla. One of the best parts is that there was not alot of drills or tools going while I was there & everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend :)

I went there for the first time recently and the Doctor was really nice and helpful! The office had the most comfy amazing chairs that massage you! And he gave me sunglasses to help with the glare from the light. I usually hate being at the dentist but I felt so comfy laying there I thought I'd fall asleep. I hope the next visit is just as nice.

I have been to quite a few dentists over my 50 plus years and this is the first time that I felt genuine care and compassion. Keeping in mind I get nervous about these types of visits him his safe was so nice and caring about my over all comfort.. me thinking it would be a painful visit turned out to be manageable by all means.
