About Dr. William Paulus

I am in network for all PPO and HMO insurance; however, I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. I am an orthodontist. Dr. William Paulus grew up in Fort Worth, TX. He attended the University of Texas on a swimming scholarship and became a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team, which was unable to compete in Moscow due to President Carter's boycott in response to the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. In fact, had Dr. Paulus swum the same times he achieved at the Olympic Trials, he would have easily won two gold medals. He also held the world record in the 100-meter butterfly for more than two years. After college, Dr. Paulus earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He completed his orthodontic residency at Saint Louis University Medical Center, one of the largest and most prestigious orthodontic programs in the world, graduating with honors in June 1994. He immediately joined practice with his father, Dr. Peter Paulus, who has since retired. Dr. Paulus Sr. successfully treated more than ten thousand patients and helped pioneer modern surgical orthodontic techniques while collaborating with some of the world's leading oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
