I respect the profession, but my complaint with some dentists i have come in contact with recently is they seem more interested in trying to "sell" me on something apart from the reason I came in for. I had a crown on a molar from another dentist and it has affected my bite, I feel. I wanted it extracted or filed to fit better. I made that clear when I went in. Instead I was told, among other things, I need braces. I'm in my 50s - I'm not wearing braces, ok? My teeth are not bad and I've never heard that before. Long story short, after two hours and 160, the tooth i was complaining about was untouched.
