After graduating from Queens College, he went on to attend dental school at New York University College of Dentistry and earned his D.D.S degree. After earning his D.D.S degree, Dr. Shimunov completed a general practice residency at Jamaica Hospital, Queens, NY. Shortly after completing residency, he moved to Florida with his wife and he has been serving the Jacksonville community ever since. He is devoted to providing the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Shimunov is motivated to stay ahead of current literature and treatment options. He is constantly challenging himself to grow and learn as a practitioner, striving to be the best dentist he can be for his patients by providing exceptional patient care. In his free time, Dr. Shimunov enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and dog Leo. In addition he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially visiting the beach and playing golf.
