About Dr. Yassmin Parsaei
Yassmin Parsaei DMD, MDS is a Board-Certified Orthodontist in NYC. Dr. Parsaei attended Yale University for her Bachelor of Science and completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors. She then earned her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Dental Science at the University of Connecticut, where she also served as Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Parsaei pursued an advanced Surgical-Craniofacial Orthodontic Fellowship at the prestigious NYU Langone Health.
Dr. Parsaei prides herself in providing high quality, personalized care and prioritizes a detailed consultation with each patient to best understand their goals and guide them through their smile journey. She has extensive experience treating children as well as adults using traditional braces, lingual braces, clear aligners and more.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Parsaei serves as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at NYU College of Dentistry and is an expert consultant for healthcare and dental companies. Dr. Parsaei has earned numerous honors, awards, and academic scholarships throughout her career and has authored over 30 articles and publications, including a book chapter, with her work presented nationally. Dr. Parsaei is also an active member of several local and national organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Parsaei’s passion for service extends beyond the office. She volunteers at Mission of Mercy Clinics and Give Kids a Smile NYC program, providing underserved children and families free dental screenings. Dr. Parsaei is also an active member of the Central Park Conservancy and loves to run in the park with her French Poodle, Theodore (who is training to become a therapy dog).

I cannot recommend Dr. Parsaei enough! She’s incredibly warm and compassionate. I felt she truly cared about getting me my perfect smile, rather than rushing through my many appointments. Dr. Parsaei is an expert in her craft- a true perfectionist! She exceeded my expectations at every visit and I couldn’t be happier with my outcome. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Parsai is a great orthodontist. She has excellent bedside manner and was able to explain every step of the process. It was easy to trust what she was doing. She fulfilled my orthodontic needs.
