Dr. Shim is committed to providing quality dentistry and contemporary care. She is recognized for her compassionate, thorough, and individualized approach to patients of all ages. Her goal is to encourage and guide patients on their journey to healthy smiles and lifestyles. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she completed her General Practice Residency at NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral and periodontal surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Dr. Shim regularly participates in continuing education courses to expand her knowledge and maintain progressive skills in general dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, baking, hiking, and photography.

Highly recommend. First time finding a new dentist after moving out of the city (had same one for over 10 years). I am very happy to have found a great dentist in Westchester. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Shim was thoughtful and informative, and showed me pictures of the areas she wanted to discuss with me (which was new for me). The hygienist, Denise, really made the experience a positive one, and she really made me comfortable with her positive energy and caring nature.

I am extremely happy with my first visit to Dr. Shim. Her staff is very friendly and encouraging. I am at Val who did all the x-rays. She was very patient with me as I am a nervous patient and Diane cleaned my teeth wonderfully. She took her time as I had a lot of totter on my teeth, dr. Shim was excellent explaining everything that has to be done with my teeth. She made me feel extremely comfortable, which is so very important as I am a very nervous patient. Just after one visit I fully trust Dr. Shim and her staff and I am very comfortable going back and starting, the work that has to be done. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Shim and her staff.

Great experience after my appointment elsewhere that was traumatic. The staff were wonderful accommodating and I would recommended this office to everyone who needs a great comprehensive dentist. There was a thorough exam, cleaning and follow up was easy to book. Staff tried to assist in keeping me comfortable and were supportive. Thank you! I look forward to my next cleaning.

I confess that I have become a cynic when evaluating stellar reviews of untried medical practitioners, based upon my own prior experience to the contrary. Not so here! I cannot remember when I was this impressed by every single employee in a medical office. The level of care, the efficiency of the staff, and the caring interactions of the employees confirmed what others have already stated. Dr. Shim took the time to carefully explain the results of her examination and to provide guidance, enlightenment and direction for the future, and my professional cleaning by a wonderful hygienist and the insights shared by Dr. Shim's staff were the icing on the dental cake. Needless to say, I highly recommend this practice, and will look forward to my return--and who ever says that about a dental visit?

Amazing! There was no wait time, everyone was super nice, and they talked me through the whole insurance pprocess! Dr Shim and her assistants were super nice! She took the time to show me exactly where my issue spots were and gave me amazing advice on how to improve my situation! 5 stars!
