Dr. Yoel Santiago was born and raised in Santa Clara, Cuba. He graduated from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences School of Dentistry – Cuba in 2007 with some of the highest honors in his class. This achievement granted him the opportunity to participate in an internship specializing in surgery. He holds a Master's Degree in Dental Emergencies and completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program focused on Oral Surgery. After graduation, he was selected to work as a General Dentist in Venezuela as part of a humanitarian mission, helping underprivileged people receive proper dental care. In 2012, he moved to Miami and began the challenging process of becoming accredited in the United States as a dentist. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey School of Dental Medicine, one of the best clinical programs in the US. Although Dr. Santiago has strong clinical and diagnostic skills in providing his patients with fully detailed, comprehensive treatment, he focuses mainly on dental surgery procedures, including impacted wisdom teeth removal, bone regeneration, sinus lifts, soft tissue management for gum recession, and dental implant therapy. He is certified at the Koerner Center for Surgical Instructions, is currently pursuing a Fellowship in implant dentistry, and is a proud member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Santiago enjoys spending his free time with his family, reading books, and maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle.
