About Dr. Zhihua Sun
Dr. Christy Sun immigrated to the United States from China as a teenager to pursue higher education. During her college years, she developed a strong interest in biology and dentistry that it uniquely blends science, art, and human connection. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry, followed by general residency at NYU Langone Hospitals in Brooklyn. There, Dr. Sun received advanced training in managing dental emergencies and caring for patients with complex medical conditions, further refining her clinical expertise and diagnostic skills.
Dr. Sun is committed to providing high-quality, individualized dental care. I saw Dr. Sun for an emergency visit couple days ago because I was having a lot of sensitivity on one of my tooth. Dr. Sun patiently explained what she is going to do and she did some test on me. She adjusted my tooth and I’m so happy that I’m no longer in pain. Front desks are so nice and they even gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste.

This was my first dentist visit with Dr. Sun and I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, communication and bedside manner displayed. I arrived for a routine dental exam / cleaning and was given thorough explanations by each staff member from the front desk, dental assistant and Dr. Sun. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Sun was patient and displayed in-depth knowledge while explaining each step of the process and provided a comprehensive treatment plan. While receiving said treatment she was methodical and gentle as well. Overall this was a very positive experience!

Omg I had a great experience with Dr. Sun! She did an excellent job with both my cleaning and a root canal. The cleaning was thorough and gentle, and the root canal—something I was really nervous about—was handled with so much care and professionalism that it was almost painless. She explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The office staff was friendly, and the environment was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're looking for a skilled and compassionate dentist!

I’ve been struggling to find a good dentist in Flushing & after seeing a few other doctors in the area, I’m so glad I finally found Dr. Sun!! Saw her for a checkup and filling and she was super nice, gentle & explained everything clearly. She really took her time with me and never pushed for a treatment (which I’ve had issues with other dentists in the past) and kept checking in to make sure I wasn’t in any pain before continuing. Felt really comfortable the entire time and will definitely come back to Dr Sun going forward!

Dr. Sun is amazing! She did multiple cavity fillings for me, and the whole process was super smooth and way less stressful than I expected. She was really gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Everything feels great now, and I’m really happy with how it all turned out. I had a great experience with Dr. Sun. I came in with a pretty big cavity, and she was upfront from the beginning that there was a chance the tooth might need a root canal. I really appreciated her honesty and how she took the time to walk me through everything. During the procedure, she was very thorough and careful while drilling, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable. Thankfully, there was no pulp exposure, so no root canal for now — but she still explained that it’s something to keep an eye on in the future, which I completely understood. I felt very well cared for and informed the whole time. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone patient, skilled, and clear in their communication! ???????,??????????????????????

I came in with a lot of dental anxiety, but Dr. Sun immediately made me feel at ease. She is incredibly gentle and took the time to explain everything clearly about my comprehensive dental treatment. I had a lot of questions, and she answered each one patiently, which gave me the confidence and comfort to continue my treatment with her. I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to do my cleaning the same day, and she was so gentle throughout the process—constantly checking in with me, especially since I have very sensitive gums. I truly appreciate her professionalism and care. Highly recommend Dr. Sun if you're looking for a kind and compassionate dentist!

First time coming to this office, the wait time was short and intake was fast. Had an appointment to fill a cavity with Dr. Sun who was very thorough, explaining to me everything she was going to do prior to the procedure. I've had cavities filled in the past and almost all the time I felt discomfort but didn't feel any pain this time. Will definitely be coming back to the office for my routine cleanings.
