Dr. Zoya Yadgarov has a private dental practice in Lynbrook, NY, at Art of Dentistry, PC. She has graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2005. She completed a general dentistry residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Queens Hospital Medical Center. During the residency, she received advanced training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, anesthesia, restorative, and pediatric dentistry. I went to Dr. Yadgarov for a checkup in August 2018. The office and examination room appeared to be very clean and well-kept. Dr. Yadgarov’s staff took a series of x-rays and after, Dr. Yadgarov conducted a thorough examination and teeth cleaning. Dr. Yadgarov and her staff were all courteous and professional. I would describe my visit to Dr. Yadgarov’s office as a relatively pleasant experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Yadgarov since last year and I am very happy with her work! She is courteous, efficient and respectful of her patient's time. I really like Dr. Yadgarov. She is direct, efficient and honest about what procedures you need and what can wait until next time. She gives good advice of how to manage your dental hygiene and always explains in detail what she would like to do and why. She knows very well what is covered and not covered by insurance and can help you set up a plan to best manage your dental care if your insurance isn't so great (like mine). I highly recommend her!

Dr. Zoya has been my dentist ever since I moved back to NYC in 2015 and I have never had an issue with her nor her dental assistant, Shyday (super courteous and professional). Dr. Zoya has always been up front about the cost of any procedure I needed and suggested that I wait regarding other, less necessary treatments. I recently decided that I wanted to get Invisalign to straighten my teeth and she goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is going according to plan. Dr. Zoya is always concerned about my level of comfort--always asking if I am OK and whether I feel pain or not. She is always very accommodating to patients who have emergencies which might delay my appointment time but, I know I would want to be treated immediately if I had a dental emergency so it is not an issue for me. Dr. Zoya's office is quaint but very clean and bright and I like it that way.
My husband is also a patient of Dr. Zoya's and he, too, enjoys her professional demeanor and services. She is very knowledgable and patient and makes sure she answers any questions or concerns I have.
I realize that individuals can have different opinions about and experiences with the same medical professionals which can be confusing or misleading to prospective patients and I feel that it is unfortunate for that particular professional. However, based on my numerous and repetitive visits with Dr. Zoya, I can and do--in good faith--HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. ZOYA. She has such flexible hours and is always willing to work with my crazy job schedule. She is definitely a top notch dentist and she can expect to see me in her office until she decides to retire.

Unfortunately the fillings I got from Dr Zoya fell out, twice. The crowns she placed gave me discomfort for 12 months and one of the cavities she treated with a small filling required a root canal only a few months later. I will not be returning.

Dr. Zoya is unprofessional, manipulative, and overall the worst experience I've had with a medical professional in my life.
I went to Dr. Zoya to get my annual cleaning. The office is a tiny, dark room off of a larger building, which though not unusual for NYC, wasn't very reassuring. From what I could tell, only Dr. Zoya and her dental hygienist were present at the practice.
When they took my x-rays, we learned that I had a surprising amount of cavities, including one in my upper bicupsid. Instead of scheduling an appointment to work on my cavities, Dr. Zoya suggested we go ahead and fill the bicupsid that night. She very strongly recommended that I get a porcelain filling. This was my first cavity, and without her also giving the details of the regular filling, I went along with her suggestion. She took the mold for the porcelain filling and scheduled for me to come back in the next week to finish it and do a root canal on another tooth.
After our appointment, I called my sister-in-law who is in dental school, and my mother who was a dental hygienist for years, because I had a bad feeling about everything. They both immediately said that it was absurd for me to get a porcelain on a bicuspid.
The next week before I went to finish the porcelain filling (which had already gone to the lab and couldn't be canceled), I emailed her multiple times to request a treatment plan so I could plan costing for filling the multiple cavities. She told me that she would give me a copy when I got to the office. When I got there, the treatment hadn't been written up. She sent the hygenist to put it together, and then left me sitting in the waiting room for an entire hour. When she finally took me back, I warned her that I had an appointment elsewhere in an hour, and she assured me she'd be able to do the porcelain filling AND the root canal in that time. At this point she finally gave me the treatment plan, on which she revealed she had misremembered the c o s t of the porcelain filling and it was actually substantially more expensive than she had charged me.
Not only did the porcelain filling take the entire hour, she refused to numb me for it. She said that I shouldn't have been able to feel anything, and even when I made it very clear that I was in a lot of pain, she promised it was almost over. Needless to say, when she suggested we move on to the root canal, I made my excuses and left.
This is where the story should end, but Dr. Zoya was not done with me. Desperate for a second opinion, I made an appointment at another dentist nearby (CitiDental) and asked Dr. Zoya to send over my x-rays. She charged me for them, something which shocked my new dentist, especially since the files were in such a strange format that the high-tech new office couldn't even open them. CitiDental took new ones and emailed them to me without charge.
My new dentist was also shocked and horrified that Dr. Zoya had 1) insisted I get the porcelain instead of regular fillings (something my dental insurance company backed up when they later rejected my claim for those fillings based on Dr. Zoya's original x-rays), 2) hadn't numbed me, and 3) had refused to give me a treatment plan upfront. She did not agree with a single decision Dr. Zoya had made. In comparison to my time with Dr. Zoya, my new dentist was completely up-front about costs, open with my own x-rays and records, and concerned about my pain levels.
Overall, I can not in good conscience recommend that anyone go to this dentist. Avoid at all costs.

She is a very skilled, patient and professional Dentist with a great Lab for Implants & Crowns! Take it from a Trauma Patient...
I've had issues with my teeth due to an accident for the past 15 years, numerous traumatizing experiences after another and needed to have my entire teeth covered in crowns and some Implants but haven't been able to do it because of Fear and mental & physical Panic Attacks I would get even by myself in the chair alone in the room, I react like a four year old kid at the dentist every time. Someone checking my teeth with the little sharp metal thong was unthinkable and unmanageable for me. But I needed crowns for health reasons, to avoid continuous issues and infections that were diminishing the quality of my own teeth to be preserved and not to reenforce my continuous bad experiences with symptoms that could & had to be avoided.
I went to update my X-rays and a cleaning at first and although I had no intention on doing anything more she was able to gain my trust slowly but surely, appointment after appointment we did more substantial work each time. I found it very helpful to take medication to calm my nerves beforehand and her respectful bedside manner made it manageable for the first time in my life to contemplate the procedures I had avoided for years and years.
She has a very unique way to set numbing injections if you're afraid of needles that is pretty much pain free except for two tiny initial pokes she sets in the gum of the area she needs to numb, so when she sets a deeper, stronger injection you don't feel it at all and she takes good care to numb you entirely, even if it's not usually necessary for certain procedures and was attentive to use a numbing agent which wouldn't increase my heart rate and therefore my anxiety. She gave me the feeling I was always in control, stopping when my tolerance was done for the day, or resetting more injections whenever I raised a hand but also pushed me a little past my mental threshold of fear & expectations whenever she knew she responsibly could, for instance doing very quick root canals on 4 front teeth instead of two and then just said "Done!" after 15 minutes while I was astounded numerous times and confirming appointments personally since she knew I had a tendency for avoiding them entirely due to anxiety. She informed me every time how much each procedure would cost and what our appointments would add up to before we started, so we designed a treatment plan together with an estimate that was much cheaper than what a lot of other people w similar issues and other dentist had quoted me for the same procedure and quality of double porcelain crowns, especially in NYC.
I was able to crown over my entire upper jaw in a year and a half, including root canals on every tooth, two extractions (which Ive never done without full anesthesia before working with her) and she said she'd be able to bridge the 5 gaps I had, some visible, instead of doing implants which I was very afraid of and not open to.
I just finished my entire bottom jaw with crowns and one bridge in less than 6 months due to less prep work and more trust in her and knowledge of the impact of procedures I was facing, much easier to deal with if you've made the experience that its not that bad!
Her Technician is very skilled, detail oriented and precise, taking pride in delivering a quality product that fits your mouth, your bite, your face, looks natural and is durable. We had two fittings for each set of crowns to adjust fit, bite, contact of teeth etc where the Technician came in person to see & verify the remaining issues as well as the Dentist herself. I had an extensive overbite to begin with, and they were able to raise my bite 5 millimeters to a more healthy bite and esthetically pleasing jawline.
Friends and family have complimented me on looking great & improved while not really being able to pinpoint the difference at first, but very much complimenting my teeth when I tell them, they say my smile looks so pretty, my teeth look healthy & alive and not like fake crowns at all.
I have Dr Yadgarov to Thank for achieving something that seemed out of reach for me until I met her and the fabulous results!

Dr. Zoya was friendly, professional and did a great job. This was my first appointment with her and compared to other, less favorable experiences with Dentists over the years, it was one of the best visits I've had. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is tired of their dentist treating the practice as just a business verses really caring about delivering quality care.

Brought my 5 year old son with abscess tooth, Dr. Zoya Yadgarov immediately prioritized our case. She was joking with my boy so he did not even realized that she was about to do the anesthesia, he did not even cry. She then extracted his tooth while distracting him with stories about her kids. She put his tooth in a beautiful box to please a “tooth fairy.” Incredibly well done! Dr. Zoya is now our family dentist, bringing my 80 year old grandma next!

The doctor spent a good amount of time trying to sell me services I did not come for. Then during the cleaning she spent several minutes talking on the phone and speaking about another patient's billing issues with her assistant, all while the sucker was still in my mouth! When she finally returned to my cleaning, she didn't even touch the teeth on my right side. Very poor job. I would not go back here again.

I went to Dr. Zoya Yadgarov for my tooth ache, as an emergency patient. I was pleasantly surprised how the doctor prioritized my case and devoted all her time and attention to alleviate my pain and discomfort in a prompt manner. At the first encounter you notice how polite, welcoming and accommodating stuff at the front desk is. Doctor Zoya was very thorough with her diagnosis and explained my problem in a very simple and easy to digest manner.
The procedure of root canal was done painlessly and they were very reasonable in working out a price for the procedure with me.
Overall, great experience with the doctor Yadgarov, will recommend her to everyone who is in need of superb dental experience and service!

Dr. Zoya did 2 implants for me. I was thinking about this procedure for ages but was very uncomfortable about pain factor. Dr. Zoya took her time to explain the benefits of the procedure, was very patient with all the concerns I had. During the procedure doctor made sure I was at ease and comfortable. Now, I have my Hollywood smile back, amazing doctor, great service!
