About Dr. Kim Power

Dr. Kim Power is a North Carolina native, raised in Cary, who loves her home state so much that she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for dental school. She left UNCW early after being granted early acceptance into UNC Dental School, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016. A lifelong learner and self-proclaimed continuing education junkie, Dr. Power’s passion for learning is matched by her love of teaching. She enjoys serving as part-time faculty at UNC Dental School, sharing her enthusiasm for dentistry with others. In her free time, Dr. Power enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is married and has two fur-kids, Ava Mae and Baxter. She loves good food, playing games and trivia (even though she admits she’s terrible at it), and relaxing on her front porch. Dr. Power has a special interest in making people comfortable. She believes her role as a provider is to make patients feel heard. She strives to be efficient, thorough, kind, and personable to create an excellent, one-of-a-kind appointment—even for those with negative past experiences. It brings her great joy when patients say it was the best experience they’ve ever had. She is excited to meet you!
