Hi there, I'm Shana! I have been a psychiatrist for over 10 years and have several state licenses, including CA, OH, MT, WY, AL, ID, IA, and WA. I treat adults with most psychiatric illnesses. I really enjoy helping patients to become the best versions of themselves. I work towards finding solutions for symptoms that get in the way of living a joyful life. My approach Patients tell me that one of my biggest strengths is that I really listen very closely to them. It is extremely important for patients to feel seen and heard. The more closely I listen, the better I can focus on what is important to the patient and what symptoms I should target. I also work to introduce supplemental materials such as short stories, poems, art, and music into treatment plans as they can help patients relate to other people with similar conditions. My focus I treat adults ages 18+. I have worked with the severely mentally ill as well as those with only minor psychiatric illnesses, so I am well-versed in the diagnoses and treatment of almost every psychiatric illness, including depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorders, and psychotic disorders. I have a special interest in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including issues with infertility. My communication style I work to create a very relaxed atmosphere that allows us to communicate clearly with each other. I feel that a good therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of a successful course of treatment. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how we can best work together to help you. My first session with you To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions during this visit, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Working together to determine an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan is important for your mental health.
