I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with 15+ years in trauma, emergency, ICU, and psychiatry. As a former Army and Air Force flight medic, I’m calm in crisis and practical in my approach.
My patients describe me as straightforward, easy to talk to, and focused on real-world improvement, not just piling on medications. Together we’ll choose a treatment plan you understand, feel comfortable with, and can actually follow.
What should a new client know about working with you?
On our first visit, I’ll listen carefully to what’s going on, your history with medications or therapy, and what ‘better’ looks like for you.
We’ll review options together – including medication, non-medication strategies when appropriate, and clear follow-up plans – so you know exactly what to expect after the visit.
My goal is to be punctual, respectful of your time, and reachable if something isn’t working.
For Texas clients: I am unable to prescribe controlled substances. I also do not accept Blue Shield of California or BCBS HMO plans in CA, FL, NH, or WA
What is your typical process for working with clients?
1) Comprehensive first visit: We review your symptoms, history, and goals so I understand the full picture.
2) Clear plan: I explain my recommendations in plain language and we agree on a plan that fits your life and comfort level.
3) Ongoing adjustments: On follow-ups, we track your progress and side effects and adjust as needed until you reach a stable, sustainable place.
