Getting to know Dr. Aaron Savedoff

Dr. Aaron Savedoff graduated from Binghamton University and received his M.D. degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. During his adult residency training at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, he was deeply involved in teaching residents, interns and medical students, earning the “Resident as Teacher” award for his contribution. His passion for teaching is appreciated by patients as well, with whom he takes time to listen and thoroughly answer their questions. Dr. Savedoff is currently an attending physician at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he teaches and supervises medical residents. He also works in the psychiatric emergency room at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, St. Luke's & Roosevelt Hospitals as well as Lenox Hill Hospital. His work at the Zirinsky Center for Bipolar Disorder has made him a specialist in Bipolar and other mood disorders.

I have been going to see Dr. Savedoff since I moved to the city a year ago. It has been a huge year for me with many transitions (marriage, baby, etc) and he has always so considerate, kind, knowledgeable and reassuring. Definitely recommend him to everyone!

I've only had one visit with Dr. Savedoff, but even in this one visit, he gives me a bit of hope' something I have been lacking in lately. He listens well, and is thorough in clearly explaining the the treatment plan he's recommending. I'll be following up on those recommendations and look forward to my next visit.

Laid back, personable, and understanding. And most important of all, he genuinely cares. I've met a lot of doctors in this crappy, archaic, mental health system, and he's the best I've met.

Very thoughtful and conscientious doctor. I felt very comfortable discussing issues with him and plan to return regularly. He seemed very knowledgeable and provided me with very helpful feedback. Would definitely recommend!

Caring and knowledgeable. Felt like progress was being made from the very first visit and in fact, more progress made with Dr. Savedoff in just a few visits than with doctors I have seen for longer amounts of time. Would recommend without reservation.

Great doctor. Unlike other doctors he actually cares for his patients. This is so novel to me when booking through ZD because almost all of the pschiatriats utilizing ZD book patients for every fifteen minutes, the legal minimum. Dr. Savedoff is Insightful inquisitive And consice without sacrificing amicability.

Dr. Savedoff is empathic and genuine. He provides great insight as well as understanding of his client needs. For someone who do not like taking medication, Dr. Savedoff was able to assist me by normalizing my anxiety of taking medication. I would highly recommend him.

The doctor is very good in working with me and the way I present my symptoms. He is able to adapt to changes in my mood and works out medication accordingly. He is a very good listener and takes his time. He is also very good in intuiting psychosomatic expressions, body language & mood.
