First off, I was able to schedule a new patient appt in days instead of MONTHS like with NYU GI docs. So right away I was thrilled. The office was clean and well organized. Office staff was friendly and polite. Doctor visit was relatively short. In fairness, I had a history of the same problem, so I kinda suspected what my issue was before showing up (and he ultimately agreed). But he seemed nice and seemed to listen attentively before stating his opinion. I didn’t feel rushed or dismissed. A couple days later he actually called me himself to make sure I was okay. In the end I couldn’t wait the couple weeks it would take for his office to connect me to a general surgeon, but not for the office’s lack of trying (I needed surgery 4 days later). I will definitely be back for any recurrent GI issues.

Dr Waghray is top tier. Great listener, highly intelligent and informed, and cares deeply about preventative care. He highlighted something my PCP looked over for the past 12 years in my blood work and raised it as a flag. Honestly wish Dr Waghray was my GP as well. He’s fantastic. Highly recommend. One of the best doctors I’ve ever had.

A completely worthless visit. While I was impressed by the ability of the doctor to listen and think through my issues, the first thing he recommended, a blood test went so bad. I told the doctor that I’m very afraid of blood tests that I would need someone to hold my hand while the phlebotomist is drawing blood. Only the phlebotomist came in and at my request a second person came in who pretty much treated me like an idiot. I told the phlebotomist that it’s my left hand, inside of the elbow was the best for drawing blood and yet she proceeded to insert the needle just below my thumb on the left hand. I think she hit either a nerve or bone because the pain was excruciating and made me weak. I’m still feeling pain and discomfort 3 hours after. ? The front desk staff was very kind and offered me water and a power bar. For that I am grateful. I’m never going back to this practice. How can I trust the doctor with a colonoscopy when he didn’t care to communicate about my bloodwork ?. ?
Dr Waghray was a great listener and addressed all my concerns as well as ordering further tests to alleviate my concerns. The front desk was super friendly and quick, so i appreciated that when i walked in and it put me at ease. Thanks to the nurse as well who was very efficient.
