My name is Abibat Adeoye, BSN, MSN, DNP, PMHNP-BC. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
Becoming a psychiatric provider is truly a dream come true for me. I find deep fulfillment in helping individuals understand their mental health, overcome challenges, and build meaningful improvements in their overall well-being.
I believe in taking time to conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations so that treatment decisions are thoughtful, individualized, and based on a clear understanding of each patient’s needs. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, combining medication management with supportive psychotherapy and practical strategies that promote lasting mental wellness.
I work with adults experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and stress-related concerns. My goal is not only to address symptoms but also to help patients build long-term mental wellness, resilience, and sustainable coping strategies.
I strive to create a respectful, supportive, and judgment-free environment where patients feel heard and valued. I enjoy working collaboratively with patients who are actively engaged in their care and committed to improving their mental health.
I believe that mental health care should be compassionate, respectful, and personalized, and I am committed to working with each patient to develop a treatment plan that truly supports their well-being and life goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?
When working with me, patients can expect a thoughtful, respectful, and collaborative approach to their mental health care. I take time to listen carefully and conduct a thorough evaluation so I can fully understand each patient’s experiences, symptoms, and goals. From there, we work together to develop an individualized treatment plan designed to support improved mental well-being and daily functioning.
My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based, combining medication management with practical strategies that help patients build healthier coping skills and long-term emotional stability. I believe that mental health treatment works best when patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.
My goal is to help patients gain clarity about their mental health, develop effective tools for managing challenges, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy traveling, listening to music, watching movies, and cooking.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation during the initial visit. I take time to understand each patient’s concerns, symptoms, and goals for treatment. This evaluation typically includes a detailed psychiatric history, medical history, review of systems, substance use history, family history, and a mental status examination. When appropriate, family members may also provide helpful information.
This thorough assessment allows me to develop a clear understanding of each patient’s mental health needs and formulate an accurate diagnosis. From there, I work collaboratively with patients to create an individualized treatment plan, which may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and practical strategies to improve daily functioning and overall well-being.
My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that helps patients achieve greater stability, improved functioning, and long-term mental wellness.
