Abigail Butterfield, APRN, is an experienced nurse practitioner providing integrated, holistic care for patients at Renew Health & Wellness in Brandon and Apollo Beach, Florida. She’s passionate about delivering high-quality, comprehensive health services to her patients, ensuring they receive the proper education, support, and tools needed to achieve their wellness goals. She is happy to offer telehealth visits to Florida residents. Abigail was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio, relocating to Florida in 2017. She completed her undergraduate degree at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Abigail worked as a registered nurse on a surgery and trauma floor for several years, gaining additional experience covering medical/surgical, urology, and physical rehabilitation units. For her master’s degree in nursing, Abigail attended Walden University. She has been an Adult and Geriatric nurse practitioner since 2014. She is a dual-certified nurse practitioner, having earned a post-master’s degree as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Wilkes University in 2022. Abigail is very passionate about behavioral health and, most recently, has worked for several years, gaining further experience in mental health and addiction medicine. She is proud to offer addiction management services to patients by providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which is a common treatment option for opioid use disorder in which Abigail has extensive experience in prescribing Suboxone. Abigail also has experience working in palliative care and hospices, transitional and home care, independent living and extended care facilities, and primary care. At Renew Health & Wellness, Abigail works closely with patients to identify their unique needs. She’s a passionate advocate for her patients and is proud to have additional training and expertise in helping people with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and its comorbidities, live their best life.

Abigail is incredibly nice and attentive. She remembers details from prior visits which shows the pays attention. She takes notes and speaks clearly. I also feel like, because we are in similar stages of life with babies, she relates to certain things that I feel. So far, it’s been great! Wish I could have sessions with her in person.

Let me tell you about this awesome nurse practitioner that literally saved my mind. I lost my husband. And Abigail was just so caring, comforting, listens, understanding and genuinely cares about her patients. She was more like a friend to me and I just wanna say thank you Abigail. I’m not going to see any other providers but her! She will take care of you. I promise she’s worth it! I highly highly recommend Abigail to my associates, customers, family and friends! The provider was amazing! She contacted me before my the Appt to make sure it wouldn’t be a problem seeing her in the future due to my distance from her office. She sent me the forms and gave me all the information I needed prior to the appointment. Once the appointment started she was prompt and patient because all of my paperwork wasn’t filled out. She then went through everything with mr thoroughly and made me feel comfortable and safe. The process was quick; I was finally able to get what I needed and felt very much listened to and cared for. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very forth coming; intelligent, personable and responsive.
