She will not refil with out an appointment. I got perscribed a months worth of pills and then schedualed 2 weeks after i would run out 2 out of the 4 times. She was friendly and did listen well but I dont think she is capiblable of respecting the beliefs of people who are not devout christians. I have had this problem with a therapist before and think its important to warn people about.

Provider never showed up for my appointment yesterday and I never heard anything from the office. And then I got billed for a no show. I never even got a link for the visit.

While Abiola Oyemade may be good for some people, I was left unsastisfied with my care. Attempts by Oyemade to rationalize my anixety came off as trying to make me feel guilty for feeling how I do. Additionally, there were minimal efforts to ease into the session to ensure I was comfortable, and one of the first questions I was asked out of the gate was concerning suicide, something extremely jarring to me. Some of the advice I was given was unhelpful to the point that upon speaking with others about my experience, they assumed I was joking. If you are looking for someone to speak to with a more clinical approach, then Oyemade may be great for you. However, if you work better with someone who is more compassionate, I would recommend looking elsewhere for help.

This was my 3rd visit with Dr. Oyemade. I felt as though she didn't listen to my needs as a client. I recently moved to Texas and I needed to find a new psychiatrist for my medication management. I have been on the same 2 medications for the past 3 years and I have been totally happy with them. Easy right? I made it very clear that I wanted to remain on medication generally as a patient. We had talked about how I was in the process of trying to get pregnant and how It was in the best interest to take 1 of the medications off completely. Which I was in support of for that circumstance. However, She made a comment that she wanted me to be completely off medication and seek therapy and learn other strategies in order to help my mental health. I understand that some people want to be a part of that scenario of getting off medication. However, due to my past history I am the candidate that needs to remain on medication for my own well-being. Our last meeting, she made me very emotional by saying these things about me being off medication. To the point where I actually had to discuss my anxiety with my therapist later on that day. I honestly dont know how she thought that being without medication would be best for me when I told her from the beginning that I need medication. I just think that Dr. Oyemade needs to be a deeper listener to her patients needs and not make them so upset that they have to discuss it with their therapist.

I was going to her for stress management and depression, just speaking with her initially was unpleasant. I advised her that I even wanted to cancel but she was apologetic so I gave it a chance. She is very assumptive. I told her I didn't receive the email, she told me I didn't check the right email. I was telling her how just for me to go pick up prescription I have to use PTO based on my work schedule, she assumed I was asking her to approve it and told me that she doesn't just give people time off because they don't want to work. My job doesn't require doctor's approval. That was never my request. I had 2 appointments with her and couldn't do anymore. She doesn't listen to the patient and focuses on the best medicine to give. Which is her job but how does she know what to prescribe if she doesn't listen to the patient and makes her own assumptions. Not even going to look for another professional just going to stick with a therapist.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Oyemade. She talked to me in a way that wasn't cold and clinical but genuine. She broke down my treatment plan in a way that I could understand without belittling me. I was put at ease with her.

Dr. Abiola was very helpful with my daughter. My daughter felt comfortable during her tele-session and Dr. Abiola was very patient.

Finding someone to help with your mental health takes a lot of vulnerability. I understand she needs background information to help prescribe or advise any type of medication or guidance, but I definitely felt judged, lectured, and not understood. Maybe this would be okay if we built a relationship, but this was my first visit.
Admin management is also disorganized. They sent my an email to fill out 1st time patient forms, but when I clicked on the link, it said I needed to register. I put in my information to register and an error message popped up. This was all fine, but what was most frustrating was will I called the office to get help, they put me on hold and told me they would call me back but they never did. My appointment was the next day, so if they needed my information wouldn't they need to call me back?
Navigating through this experience was confusing and frustrating...
Overall experience 2/10.

Very kind provider. She is understanding and listens to your concerns and thoughts and doesnt make you feel like just another patient to get through, as many other doctors do. Appointment was very thorough and not rushed. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a .mental health care provider
