She was so kind and patient with me. My anxiety was high and depression was low and she recognized that and was very supportive and helped me through it. She was aware of my granddaughter being near and kept me calm yet was able to get the information she needed and assisted me in the right direction moving forward. She was clear with instructions going forward to ensure if any issues or questions arise the fastest way to get in contact with her. I’m so glad I chose her over all the other options. Very happy with my visit with her and look forward to our future appointments. I cried, smiled and even laughed while talking with her and it was quite comforting. Started in tears and ended with a smile and relief. She was supportive of me seeking help and that I was on the right track. She kept me at ease and ensured I understood the plan and was ok with it. Highly recommend her. Thank you so very much for putting my mind at ease.

To put it short, I asked this doctor for guidance on how to go about testing for a particular mental health disorder. She literally laughed, told me that this diagnosis is for children not adults (100% not true for this disorder), and she did not even try to provide resources or education on the topic.
This is something I’ve been struggling with for so long. This is the first time I had the courage to speak up and ask for help on this matter and like I said, I got laughed at.
I’ve never felt so disrespected and invalidated by a professional in the mental health field.
