“I was referred by a Doctor to use zocdoc. It was truly great. My husband had a seizure in June 2021 , we weren't scheduled to see a neurologist until October 2021. We were unable to see that neurologist because of insurance. Husband was hospitalized on 1/31/22. We were referred to zocdoc on wednesday evening at 6:30pm . On zocdoc we were able to get an appointment scheduled next day with someone in our network 12:30 appt. all completed online. They simply asked did I had an appt. they asked zocdoc? I said Yes. This is a game changer.

About Dr. Abraham Kalikstein
Dr. Abraham Kalikstein is a double board-certified neurologist in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for a wide range of neurologic conditions.
A Brooklyn native, Dr. Kalikstein earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He completed his neurology residency at Northwell Health, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, with a particular focus on neuromuscular disorders, peripheral nerve conditions, and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Dr. Kalikstein evaluates and treats a broad spectrum of neurologic concerns, including headaches and migraines, neuropathy and nerve pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, back and neck-related nerve problems, tremor and Parkinson’s disease, memory disorders and Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy and seizures, stroke, myasthenia gravis, and other neuromuscular conditions. He also performs specialized neurologic testing, including EMG/nerve conduction studies and EEG.
Dr. Kalikstein believes in taking the time to listen to each patient, explain the diagnosis and treatment options clearly, and develop an individualized plan of care. His goal is to provide thoughtful, thorough neurologic care while making patients feel comfortable, heard, and involved in their treatment.
