Dr. Adam Berns completed his Psychiatry Residency training at Zucker Hillside Hospital and received his Doctorate of Medicine from New York University. Dr. Berns joins Helios from UCSF Hospital in San Francisco where he served as an Addiction Psychiatry Fellow. Dr. Berns is trained in multiple therapy modalities and psychopharmacology. Dr. Berns first became interested in psychedelic therapy during his residency training where he studied the healing potentials of psychedelics and immersed himself in the growing body research in the field. With the fusion of these areas of expertise, traditional psychopharmacology and therapy as well as psychedelic therapy, Dr. Berns provides a comprehensive, patient-centered approach. Dr. Berns goal is to provide individualized, collaborative, and compassionate care to all of his patients.
