Dr. Adam Carter, MD
Appointment only available for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. (PMR) Dr.Adam Carter is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), otherwise known as Physiatry. He practices in Mesquite, Texas. In addition to his outpatient practice Dr. Carter is the Medical Director of Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute. For the past three years, Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute has been recognized nationally for superior outcomes in rehabilitation. Dr. Carter focuses his practice on general Rehabilitation Medicine. He has an interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. Dr. Carter also performs joint and trigger point injections. Dr. Carter was born and raised in New York City. He graduated with a BA with Honors in English from Hobart College, Geneva, New York, and received his MD from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Carter completed his Internship in General Surgery at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. and his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One of Dr. Carter’s interests outside of medicine is aviation. He currently holds a student pilot certificate. Dr. Carter is designated by the FAA as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and is authorized to perform pilot physicals. He is currently able to certify pilots for Class II and III Airman Medical Certificates. Dr. Carter is also passionate about travel, reading, and marathon running. He has completed over ten marathons and has set his sights on qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
