About Dr. Adam Carter
Appointment only available for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. (PMR) Dr.Adam Carter is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), otherwise known as Physiatry. He practices in Flower Mound, Texas. In addition to his outpatient practice Dr. Carter is the Medical Director of Clearsky Rehabilitation Hospital of Flower Mound. Dr. Carter focuses his practice on general Rehabilitation Medicine. He has an interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. Dr. Carter also performs joint and trigger point injections.
Dr. Carter was born and raised in New York City. He graduated with a BA with Honors in English from Hobart College, Geneva, New York, and received his MD from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Carter completed his Internship in General Surgery at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. and his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
One of Dr. Carter’s interests outside of medicine is aviation. He currently holds a student pilot certificate. Dr. Carter is designated by the FAA as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and is authorized to perform pilot physicals. He is currently able to certify pilots for Class II and III Airman Medical Certificates. Dr. Carter is also passionate about travel, reading, and marathon running. He has completed over ten marathons and has set his sights on qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

I've gone to this doctor twice. The first time was fine until I got a call an hour afterwards saying that the receptionist forgot to charge me. I asked her twice before leaving if she was sure and I tried to hand her my card. The second time was awful. I showed up early to fix the mistake. Paid double. I asked if the doctor could take me early or if I should come back. She said he could. She then stuck me in a room and I waited a full hour to be seen. Truly go anywhere else.

My visit with Dr Carter was very nice and professional He told me a lot of things I could do with the back problems that I am having. He also told me to keep up the physical therapy and see how it works. Dr Carter is very good.
