About Dr. Adam Mamelak
Adam Mamelak, MD is an American and Canadian Board Certified Dermatologist and an American Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon at Westlake Dermatology.
Dr. Mamelak was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He obtained his Bachelor degree and graduated in the top 5% of the Faculty of Science from McGill University, and was a gold medalist (the highest honor obtainable) in his medical class at Queen’s University. He completed his Dermatology residency training at The Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed a research fellowship in Molecular Immunology.
Dr. Mamelak completed fellowship training in Mohs Surgery/Procedural Dermatology at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. He has a particular interest in skin cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

First class doctor! He took the time to review all my history and explained the various options for medical treatment; I never felt rushed. Rather than have me come back for another appointment he took the time to perform the additional cosmetic procedures I had inquired about. He has a calm voice and continued to apologize each time he made an injection; great bedside manner! I will definitely return for both medical and cosmetic needs!

Dr. Mamelak has a great bedside manner and starts each appointment by asking questions and listening closely. He explains everything clearly and he's available for follow-up if treatments aren't working. I went to see him for rosacea, and he worked to find the right treatment based on which had the fewest side effects. It cleared up quickly and hasn't recurred. Highly recommend!

Once I finally got called back, everything was great. The doctor is awesome. I must complain though about my 45-minute wait. This put my behind schedule for the rest of my day. It was very inconsiderate of them.
