About Adam Schmid

Adam Schmid has been working as a dermatology nurse practitioner since 2013. He pursued his nursing education at Oakland University and received a BSN, graduating with honors. While there, he was active in at-risk youth outreach and a chairman of the university’s Student Nurses Association. Adam pursued his MSN at Madonna University. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the international honor society Sigma and received their Outstanding Masters Student of The Year award. Professionally, Adam received the William Beaumont Hospital Surgical Intensive Care Externship gaining valuable experience at the Level I Trauma Center. Afterward, he traveled to Southern California and joined the organ donation and transplantation team associated with UCSD Medical Center. During this time, he covered procurement services for 29 area hospitals. Additionally, he was published in the international peer-reviewed journal Progress In Transplantation. Upon his return to Michigan, prior to joining the practice, he spent the last 7 years working with a premier mobile dermatology group. Traveling to rural and urban communities across Michigan, he provided services to individuals residing in long-term care facilities who would otherwise not have access to dermatologic care. Adam practices cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatology. He is pleased to have joined the Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery family of offices.
