Many patients need in-depth care for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Adara also offers assessments and treatment for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). As a skilled psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, she provides comprehensive care to anyone struggling with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive challenges. Adara collaborates with patients to create individualized treatment plans. With her expertise in medication management, therapy, and lifestyle modifications, each patient receives expert care that meets their goals and improves their mental well-being. She also enjoys addressing women's psychiatric needs such as perinatal depression and anxiety, postpartum depression, perimenopause, and menopause. Outside of work, Adara enjoys ocean life, traveling, and spending time at home with her family. She has a big heart for animals, believes they are very therapeutic, and participates in ESA letters when needed. Lastly, she loves learning about different cultures and religions and trying new foods during her travels.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach is using a non-judgment approach and a clear communication with clients. It is also essential to incorporate a holistic approach as well in psychiatry. Such as nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes are all imperative for our mental health as well. In addition, education is also important to help empower clients as much as possible with their care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I enjoy talk therapy with my clients to get to know who they are as a person not just a client. In addition, I enjoy educating clients on their medications or concerns about their diagnosis.Psychiatric wellness is just as imperative as physical wellness.
