NP Adekemi Adedipe is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Doctoral degree from the University of San Francisco. She obtained her master's in nursing degree from Walden University. Adedipe's background includes nursing leadership and adult and geriatric psychiatry. Since 2015, her academic and clinical career has taken her on a journey through the healthcare system, from inpatient mental health, Partial hospitalization, Intensive hospitalizations, Skilled Nursing Facility, correctional nursing to medical surgical unit where she consults, evaluates and treats patients with mental health and medical comorbidities. Her expertise lies in psychiatric care, medication management, and treatment of adults and young adults with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, chemical dependency, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and ADHD.
NP Adekemi also worked as a Supervising registered nurse in behavioral health care where she supervised her team in performing excellent psychiatric care for patients on voluntary and involuntary holds. Her doctoral clinical research interests are not limited to improving and increasing access to psychiatric care. She is also passionate about educating nurses in mental health care, particularly on cultural awareness and humility in nursing practice. With their unique position in the healthcare system, she firmly believes that nurses can play a key role in redefining modern healthcare. Her empathetic nature is a driving force to embrace change in the mental health system while providing quality care.
