About Dr. Adrianna Gonzalez
Dr. Adrianna Gonzalez practices general, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology at Metroderm DC: Medical, Laser, and Aesthetic Dermatology Center in Washington, DC. She has expertise in skin cancer prevention and treatment, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other inflammatory skin disorders. Dr. Gonzalez enjoys combining medical and procedural modalities to help patient’s feel and look their healthiest.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami where she earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. She completed medical school at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and her dermatology residency at George Washington University, where she served as chief resident. During her training, Dr. Gonzalez received comprehensive training at Children’s National Medical Center and the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Additionally, Dr. Gonzalez spent one year conducting dermatology research at the University of Miami. She has helped conduct clinical trials and has authored various publications in peer-reviewed journals relating to inflammatory skin conditions, hair and nail disorders, non-melanoma skin cancer, and cosmetic dermatology. She has also published numerous educational articles as a dermatology correspondent on various platforms including Derm-In-Review, Next Steps In Derm and Dermveda. Dr. Gonzalez was recognized for her research during medical school, where she won the Alan R. Shalita Award for Excellence in Dermatological Research.
Dr. Gonzalez provides compassionate and individualized care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Being a Puerto Rico native, she is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Italian.

She prescribed me an outrageous amount worth of medicine and then didnt even fill all the prescriptions. She barely looked at my issue areas and I had to go through another carrier to fill the prescriptions she never did.

Dr. Gonzalez was AMAZING. Excellent bedside manner, listened to and addressed every one of my concerns and involved me in my plan of care. She was also very transparent about the cost of various treatment options. I will definitely be back to see her!
