About Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj

Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, earning her master’s degree in Biological Sciences in April 1993. She worked as a research associate in the Department of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin and in the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. In August 1996, Dr. Sokhansanj moved with her family to Dallas, Texas, where she stayed home to raise her three sons before returning to school to study chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas. She obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in August 2002. Dr. Sokhansanj also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Brookhaven Community College. Additionally, she has presented scientific research studies at numerous national and international meetings.
