What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that working with me is collaborative, supportive, and goal-focused. I take time to listen carefully, understand the full picture, and provide treatment that is both compassionate and evidence-based. Visits typically include a thorough assessment, open discussion of symptoms and concerns, and a clear treatment plan that may include medication management, therapy, and practical wellness strategies. I value cultural humility, respect, and transparency, and I encourage clients to ask questions so we can make informed decisions together. My goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and supported in achieving lasting mental wellness.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is thorough, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. During the initial evaluation, I complete a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, including symptom history, medical history, current stressors, sleep patterns, and past treatment experiences. I also review diagnosis carefully and may use screening tools when appropriate to support diagnostic clarity. After the assessment, we discuss a personalized treatment plan based on your goals. This may include medication management, education, lifestyle and wellness strategies, and supportive therapeutic interventions. While I am not a long-term weekly therapist, I do incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques during visits, such as supportive therapy and coping skills coaching. Follow-up visits focus on progress, monitoring progress, medication effectiveness, side effects, and ongoing support. Throughout care, I prioritize safety, education, and shared decision-making so clients feel confident in the plan and empowered in their healing. My goal is for every client to leave each visit feeling heard, informed, and confident in the next steps.
