Getting to know Agatha Nwangwu

My approach is grounded in the theory of self-determination, with strong influences on psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, ADHD, and more. I am nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice independently as a PMHNP in Maryland and Washington, DC. This licensure includes prescriptive authority. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chamberlain University and a Master's in Nursing from Walden University. I believe in taking a holistic, integrative, patient-centered approach to psychiatry, treating the mind, body, and spirit at DIVINE Mental Health Services in Washington, DC, and Maryland. I utilize medication alongside psychotherapy to treat depression, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other common mental health conditions and life issues. DIVINE Mental Health Services' mission is to provide every patient with the highest quality care while empowering them to successfully manage their careers, relationships, family life, and faith by staying in control of their mental health. I have worked in the nursing field for more than 35 years, with most of my experience in mental health care. I have served both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting clients needing crisis stabilization as well as those maintaining continued outpatient care. ?I have gained a lot of confidence and comfort working with individuals of all ages with varying mental health care needs.? ~Ify
