Getting to know Dr. Ahmed Al-Katib

This isn’t basic therapy and meds. This is high-level psychiatric care, performance-driven mindset work, and long-term strategy—all under one roof. I’m Dr. Ahmed Al-Katib, a board-certified psychiatrist. I built this practice for people who are done chasing symptoms, stacking labels, and repeating their story from one provider to the next. We do things differently here—and it works. Whether you’re in crisis or quietly burning out behind high achievement, we get to the root, clear the noise, and rebuild the system—from the inside out. I don’t over-pathologize. I don’t get hung up on diagnosis. Labels can help—but only if they lead to clarity, not confusion. I treat the person in front of me, not the category on the chart. I work alongside my physician assistants, Rebecca and Sandra. From day one, they’re integrated into your care. We review every case together, train together, and operate like a single brain behind a team of providers who actually talk to each other. You’re not booking a session. You’re stepping into a system built to make you better.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Most people find us after getting stuck in a system that doesn’t work. You’ve had to chase down providers, repeat your story five times, wait weeks between sessions, or piece together therapy and medication from separate people who never communicate. We do the opposite. You’ll meet with me and either Rebecca or Sandra during your intake. From there, care is streamlined, coordinated, and consistent. If you’re using insurance, your follow-ups are typically with your PA—but I stay involved every step of the way. We review your case together weekly. We adjust fast. We stay aligned. You’re never just handed off. You’re supported—by a team that knows you. Sessions are flexible: 15, 30, or 45 minutes. Some virtual. Some in person. We also offer supervised therapy and, soon, psychological testing—so you get everything you need in one place. You won’t be lost in the system here. You’ll be guided through it—with precision.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a team-based intake. You’ll meet with me and either Rebecca or Sandra to get the full picture. That first session is built for clarity, not checkbox care. From there, your PA will typically lead your follow-ups and therapy. We work as a unit, with weekly case reviews, shared notes, and tight collaboration—so no part of your care is ever left behind. We don’t rush into a diagnosis. We focus on what’s showing up in your life, what’s getting in your way, and what will actually help. We begin by solving the problem that brought you in. We end by helping you move toward something better than you thought possible. Simple. Direct. Fully aligned with what matters most: your life working better. Most intakes are done in person. If you’re seen virtually, please note: we do not prescribe controlled substances unless you’ve also had an in-person visit, in line with medical guidelines.

More information on payments and coverage

We keep things simple, clear, and private. You pay up front—just like a personal trainer, executive coach, or wellness retreat. It’s straightforward, discreet, and gives you full control of your care. No insurance delays. No diagnostic codes on your record. Just expert support, on your terms. If you’d like to use out-of-network benefits, we’ll walk you through it—or submit claims for you. Most clients receive 50–80% back, once their deductible is met. One payment. No surprises. No red tape. Just care that works—with the ease and quality you’d expect from any serious investment in your life.

I'm sincerely grateful to Dr. Al-Katib. He waived his fee after my wife backed out of her appointment but still spent around an hour with me giving me advice on how to sport her. He then created a detailed writeup for her. This went far beyond any expectations that I had.
