“I’ve seen several psychiatrists over the years mostly due to changes in insurance. I was concerned about my appointment with Dr Ahmed Hussain as I believe you need to feel comfortable and trust the individual you are confiding in with your mental health. That had not always been the situation in which I had found myself. Dr Hussain made me feel very comfortable and created an environment that was safe where I could trust him with my care. He understood my concerns, clearly articulated his care plan, next steps, and included me in the decision making process. His bedside manner was excellent. He was easy to talk to and very gentle. Dr Hussain’s office in downtown Westmont was easy to get to, near the train station, had plenty of parking, and with Saturday hours, it was perfect. I left Dr Hussain’s office feeling much better and am glad he was on Zocdoc. I would definitely recommend Dr Ahmed Hussain and will continue seeing him.”

I’ve been extremely impressed with Dr. Ahmed Hussain, MD and his secretary. From the moment I called in the evening many days before my appointment. Also the secretary personally answered my phone call that evening. I was even more impressed when the secretary called the night before to confirm . they’ve gone above and beyond to make me feel cared for. Dr. Hussain was attentive and compassionate, what a good listener and retains information. The office itself is warm and welcoming. I always felt safe knowing they’d answer my call at any time. I’ve never felt more supported by a medical team—thank you all for making every interaction so special! Amelia

Highly recommended

The experience was wonderful! Super easy to use they reminded me of the appointment a few times before the appointment! They let me put all of my insurance information in ahead of time soo that when I walked into the office I was already ready to go right in and see the doctor!

I met with Dr. Hussain as a new patient so I could continue with my current prescriptions. He did not understand why I was on 2 antidepressants, despite explaining that one is an SSRI purely to treat symptoms of post menstrual dysphoric disorder, but he did not seem to know much about PMDD or how it is treated with SSRIs, and he had no interest in asking any follow up questions to understand. I became emotional during the session as he determined within the first 5 minutes of sitting down that I was on too many unnecessary medications that all did the same thing (I take 2 meds daily and ritalin as needed) but rather than offer any kind of emotional support he just asked if I cry like this often. I’m suicidal without my medications so yeah I would prefer to keep taking them. Dr. Hussein has a lot of experience and is clearly very confident in his skills, but if you are a woman who values being taken seriously I would strongly suggest looking into someone else

No wait at all, listened patiently and provided sound feedback and meds as needed. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding his craft. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of this specialist.
