Getting to know Aimee Dunnam

I am Aimee Dunnam, DNP, a psychiatric nurse practitioner who meets you where you are. After twenty seven years as a neonatal NP, I moved into psychiatry to focus on the person behind the symptoms. In our visits I listen first, learn what has and has not helped, and partner with you to design care that fits your life. I blend evidence based medication with practical skills and I coordinate with your other clinicians when useful. My goal is care that feels warm, clear, and effective so you leave each session understood and equipped for the next step. I help with anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, panic, and grief.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Care is collaborative. I pair clear education and evidence based medication with practical tools like reframing, stress, and sleep skills. We plan together, set goals, and adjust based on your feedback so care fits your values and daily life. I coordinate with your clinicians and provide telehealth for stable needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is a calm conversation. I review your history, clarify goals, and explain options. You will leave with a clear plan and simple practices to start right away. If you want care that is personal, thorough, and respectful, I would be honored to be part of your team. Reach out when you are ready to begin.
