Aimee Pompa, SLP, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
VA
Hi! I'm Aimee. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2011. My journey to becoming an SLP didn’t follow a traditional path—and I believe that’s one of my greatest strengths. As a mother and someone who returned to school later in life, I was driven by a deep desire to give back in a meaningful way. I’ve always understood the power of communication—how it shapes relationships, builds confidence, and opens doors. Pursuing a career in speech-language pathology allowed me to combine my compassion, life experience, and love of learning into a profession that truly makes a difference. I’m passionate about helping individuals find their voice, overcome challenges, and connect with the world around them. Whether I’m working with a child just beginning to speak or an adult recovering their ability to communicate, I’m honored to be part of that journey. I have received trainings and certifications in the following: Social Thinking Conference, It Takes Two to Talk Certification, Beckman Oral Motor Training. I have worked in clinical settings such as: university clinic, home health, public schools, skilled nursing and rehab center. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, functional, and individualized/personalized.
