About Dr. Ajith Malige
Dr. Malige is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who completed his fellowship at the renowned Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, his residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network, and his medical school at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He has extensive training and experience in hip arthroscopy (including labral repairs, labral reconstruction, osteoplasty, and iliopsoas release), anatomic ACL reconstructions using multiple graft types, meniscal surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability surgery, shoulder arthroplasty, and throwing elbow injuries. He also specializes in superior capsular reconstruction, knee multi-ligament reconstruction, syndesmotic injuries, and other surgeries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. He is also well versed in fracture fixation of all upper and lower extremity fractures.
Dr. Malige strives to help athletes of all types and competition levels return to sport. He has served as an assistant team physician at the professional level (Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Galaxy, and the Anaheim Ducks), collegiate level (Pepperdine Waves), and the high school level (numerous high schools across the Lehigh Valley). He is also an extensive researcher, using it as a way of staying up to date on new surgical techniques. He has published over 50 papers and book chapters, focusing on shoulder arthroplasty, throwing elbow, ACL reconstruction, and biologic treatments. He has also given lectures and presentations at numerous national orthopaedic conferences. In addition, he currently serves on multiple committees for the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and he serves on the editorial board for the Arthroscopy and BMC Musculoskeletal Disorder journals.

Avoid this office if you value your time. This is the second appointment in a row where I waited over an hour past my scheduled time without a single update. No one checked in, no one apologized — I had to get up and ask the staff myself just to find out what was happening.
It gets worse: after they told me I was finally going to be seen, I was taken into the exam room… only to be told there were still patients ahead of me. This was after an hour of waiting already. Absolutely ridiculous.
This level of disorganization is not a one-off — it’s a pattern. I walked out, and I won’t be returning. If you expect basic respect, communication, or professionalism, go somewhere else.

The whole process was very well done. I needed x-rays which were done promptly by a very nice assistant. I saw Dr. Malige pretty quickly after the x-rays were done. After chatting about history, he went through the x-rays and a recommended treatment. For someone who doesn't like going to doctors I found the experience efficient, professional and low stress. The Doctor also had plenty of options of what happens next if the pain doesn't subside. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Got me x-rays quickly during my first visit. Cons: Office is pretty rough around the edges (peeling paint, broken sink, etc.) and the doc, while friendly and kind, didn't think outside the box or set me up with resources to move forward and in a nutshell, I really didn't learn anything. Overall, fine, but if I could do it again, I probably would have gone elsewhere.

Dr. Ajith and his nurse were very helpful and patient to listen to me during my visit at the office. I have concern about my disc herniation and back pain. He checked through, looked all the images and reports from my Prenuvo MRI body scan and gave me consultation. I was about to take another MRI but he advised me not necessary since I already took it early last year and it showed my disc herniation in the report. I just have to keep doing stretch, yoga, or even chiropractic and not pushing on injections or surgery when its not necessary. I think he has given the best advice and I dont have to take unnecessary steps at this time. I feel more
relieved and not over worried after seeing him.

I found Dr. Malige through Zocdoc & was able to book an appointment the next day! I had trouble initially finding an Orthopedic Surgeon to take a look at my recent tibial plateau fracture I had from a snowboarding injury 3 weeks ago. The other ortho’s wait times were almost a month in advance.
The office was very clean and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Dr. Malige was being assisted by Ethan, PA & Iris. They made my first experience in an ortho clinic wonderful and easy. We took repeat XRAYS to make sure my fracture did not get worse. Shortly after Dr. Malige explained the next steps and answered all of my questions/concerns. I was then fitted for knee brace and crutches. They filled out all of my workplace accommodations paperwork, EDD Disability forms, and medical certificate right after.
Highly recommend Dr. Malige, A. to anyone looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon! He is super knowledgeable and very understanding/caring towards his patients.

I was really anxious about my injury but Dr. Malige and his staff made my appointment experience a lot more comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. Dr. Malige was super knowledgable and great at explaining my condition as well as the necessary steps for recovery. I felt that Dr. Malige took the time to thoroughly examine my injury and provide the best possible solution (no surgery). I’d recommend him to anyone with knee or leg issues
