(Only available in our Tacoma clinic) Al Jerome (AJ) is a dual board-certified Family & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult psychiatric medication management. He also offers Intravenous Ketamine therapy and Nutritional Psychiatry services. He received his Doctoral degree and post-graduate psychiatric mental health certificate at Duke University. He utilizes a holistic, collaborative, and integrative approach to provide personalized, evidence-based, and non-judgmental psychiatric care. AJ highly values a therapeutic provider-client relationship built in trust, respect, and empathy. He recognizes that mental health is largely influenced by the complex dynamic between biological, psychological, and social/environmental circumstances. He believes that mental health is multi-faceted and should be seen as a spectrum rather than a binary state of being either mentally healthy or unwell. His care philosophy is to empower patients to achieve optimal mental health and wellness. We all have the capacity to grow, adapt, and heal, though sometimes we need a little help in the process. Wherever you are in the mental health continuum, AJ will be with you every step of the way; from medication management to psychotherapy.
