Dr. Alaa Fawaz, DPM, born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan, earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University. He went on to complete a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford Health – Providence, where he gained extensive experience in both elective and trauma-related foot and ankle procedures. During his training, Dr. Fawaz developed a strong interest in minimally invasive techniques, sports injuries, and diabetic limb care. Dr. Fawaz’s surgical expertise includes both traditional and minimally invasive approaches to bunion correction and soft tissue repair, as well as fracture management, ligament and tendon repair, and diabetic limb preservation. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Dr. Fawaz is committed to delivering thorough, compassionate care to every patient. He values education, shared decision-making, and personalized treatment plans that prioritize function, mobility, and long-term quality of life.
