Getting to know Dr. Albert Yeung
I’m a psychiatrist with more than two decades of experience in clinical care, research, and improving mental health services for underserved populations. My work has focused particularly on depression, anxiety, and Asian mental health, and I bring a culturally sensitive, integrative perspective to psychiatric care.
I earned my medical degree from National Taiwan University before coming to the United States for advanced training at Harvard School of Public Health and Massachusetts General Hospital. I’m board-certified in adult psychiatry and also have training in medical acupuncture.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding the whole person—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I take time to learn about your experiences, culture, physical and emotional health, stressors, and the goals you have for treatment.
My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with integrative strategies such as mindfulness, stress management, resiliency training, and mind-body practices when appropriate. I aim to create a collaborative and culturally sensitive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in your care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Our first visit begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation so I can understand what you’re experiencing, your history, current symptoms, and your treatment goals. From there, we can develop an individualized plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle and self-management strategies, or integrative approaches.
At Stella Mental Health, patients may also have access to advanced treatments such as Spravato (esketamine), TMS, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and integration therapy when appropriate. My goal is to develop a thoughtful treatment plan and adjust it over time based on your progress and needs.

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stella Mental Health containing your intake paperwork. Please allow about 30 minutes to complete this form. Your responses will help your provider prepare for your upcoming appointment. All patients are required to complete the intake form 24 business hours before their appointment.
You will receive a phone call from one of our dedicated Care Advocates, who can answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to provide a credit card to keep on file for co-pays or cancellation fees. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full intake appointment fee ($450).
During your intake appointment, you’ll spend 60 minutes with your provider collaborating on a treatment plan tailored to your needs. If in-person treatments are recommended—such as TMS, Spravato, DSR SGB, or ketamine therapy—our care team will guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
