Getting to know Alecia Deangelis

Hello! I’m a telepsychiatry provider who believes the best care begins with being truly heard. In our virtual visits, you’ll find a calm, welcoming space where we focus on you - your story, your concerns, and your goals. I never push medications or treatments you’re uncomfortable with. Together, we build a plan that truly reflects your needs. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and OCD with a strong focus on ADHD for both adults and teens. For new patients, our first virtual visit will be a relaxed, in-depth conversation: I’ll listen carefully to your history, symptoms, and what you hope to change. From there, we’ll explore options at a pace that feels right for you. My style is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I’m here not just to hear your symptoms but to listen to your story. When you feel safe sharing openly, we can make meaningful progress toward a more balanced, confident life. I work with a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, insomnia, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, schizophrenia, postpartum depression, social anxiety, substance-related issues, autism spectrum challenges, and ADHD. My telehealth services include ADHD testing, genetic testing, blood work orders, ESA letters, work accommodation letters, disability forms, crisis intervention, and support with school IEP/504 plans. My background includes nursing roles at Cedars-Sinai, UCI, and George Washington University Hospital. I earned my bachelor’s in nursing at Wheeling University and my master’s degree at Maryville University. If you’re looking for a provider who listens deeply, collaborates with you every step of the way, and supports your journey from the comfort of home—I’d be honored to work with you. Let’s start making changes that matter.

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you’ve been thinking about getting support but haven’t found the right fit yet, you’re in the right place. New clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me within minutes because I’m warm, patient, and truly listen without judgment. You’ll never be rushed, dismissed, or pushed into anything you’re not ready for. My role is to understand your goals and work with you to make meaningful progress at a pace that feels safe. If you’re looking for a provider who actually hears you and takes your concerns seriously, I’d be glad to support you. I’m here to help make your next step feel easier

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is all about getting to know you—your story, what’s been challenging, and what you want to change. I make the initial visit comfortable and conversational so you can relax and be yourself. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your life, whether that includes therapy-focused strategies, lifestyle support, medication options, or a blend of approaches. After that, we meet regularly to track progress, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust the plan so it continues working for you. Clients often tell me they feel supported, understood, and finally on a path that makes sense. If you’re ready to take the next step toward feeling more balanced and in control, I’m here to help.

More information on payments and coverage

I work with most major insurance plans through third-party billing partners such as Headway and Alma. If your insurance is accepted, these partners verify your benefits, manage claims, and determine your copay or coinsurance based on your specific plan. For patients who are out-of-network or prefer to pay privately, I also offer self-pay options. Payment is processed securely through my patient portal, and all fees are discussed in advance so there are no surprises.
