About Dr. Alex Sherman
Dr. Alex Sherman earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia College and his Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at New York University Langone Medical Center.
Dr. Sherman provides primary care to his patients and serves as a consultant in gastroenterology and liver disease. He is proficient in various endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP. Dr. Sherman has been named to the Super Doctors? list.
He has served as principal investigator for numerous studies involving disease states such as Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, NASH (Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis), PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis), PBC (Primary Biliary Cirrhosis), Hepatitis B and C, and C. difficile infections.
